    Standard services

    General and specialised translations

Whether you want to send a corporate email to your clients or collaborators, present a project to take part in an international competition, provide an instruction manual in your clients’ language, publish a scientific article on a specialised website, or launch a marketing campaign in a range of different media, we’re here to help. We’ll provide the highest quality translation of all the texts you need to ensure your success.

The Teclat team is made up of highly qualified and experienced language professionals, always native speakers of the target languages. The process of translating and editing documents always includes revision by a proofreader who, together with the project manager, helps to guarantee the quality of the end product.

We also use several different computer tools to support translation, which assist us throughout the process: format conversion programs, counting tools, and translation memories, which allow us to take advantage of texts that have already been translated and maintain terminological coherence. These resources also allow us to offer more competitive prices and, above all, to guarantee the quality of our work.

The following is a description of our working process, starting from the moment we receive a request up until we deliver the final product:

    1. Request for translation

You write an e-mail to traduccio@teclat.com and tell us what you need: the language of the source document and which language or languages you want it translated into. You should also attach the original text, in an editable format whenever possible. We’ll analyse the document and send you a quote calculated based on a per-word rate according to the language combination and other characteristics of the text (specialisation, format, repeated words, etc.). We’ll also specify a delivery date. As soon as we receive your approval, we’ll get your project under way.

    2. Project management

Internally, we’ll enter your project in our management programme and give it a reference number. We’ll prepare the document, which consists of doing any necessary formatting, managing terminology, and taking care of any other specifications you have given us. Then we’ll assign the translation to an expert translator selected based on the language combination and subject specialisation. We take special care to ensure that the documents from each client are always handled by the same team of translators in order to maintain consistency in terminology and style, for which we also use different translation assistance tools.

    3. Translation

The translator will translate the document and have it ready by the agreed deadline. If any issues arise during the translation process, the translator will contact the project manager to resolve them.

    4. Quality control

Before the final document is delivered to you, it will undergo an independent revision process to ensure that neither the content nor the format have been altered from the original, and to guarantee its suitability for the intended purpose.

    5. Delivery

We’ll send you the translated document by e-mail – or directly to you if it’s a sworn translation that you need on paper – by the agreed deadline, always in the format that you’ve requested.

    6. Feedback

We’ll await any comments or questions you may have after you’ve received the translated document, and we’ll respond to them before definitively closing the project.

    7. Archive

Both the original document and the translation are stored in our document storage

system for future reference, if necessary (for a period of one year).
